Juja residents up in arms to protest poor state of roads

A section of motorists and residents have blocked the busy Juja- Juja farm road with bonfires and burnt tyres to protest the deplorable roads in the area.

The residents have protested the poor state of the Juja – Juja Farm road, and are now calling on the government to ‘reconsider its priorities’ and ensure the crucial road is constructed.

Recently, the Kenya Urban Road Authority announced the upgrading of the road, among 7 other projects that were announced on August 1 2019.

The roads to be constructed include Kasarani-Mwiki-Njiru Road, Roysambu-Kamiti Corner Road, Kingara-James Gichuru Road, Limuru Road, Red Hill Road, Juja Farm Road and Kajiado Town Roads and By-pass.

Some section of Kenyans residing in Juja took the opportunity to call upon leaders in Kiambu County to heed their cry.

” Juja Jujafarm Road currently impassable, vehicles are already stuck at CornerBrook school, are there leaders in Juja to hear the cry of the area residents ” Said one Juja Resident.
