Justice Daniel Musinga has been elected President of the Court of Appeal.
His election has been validated by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), allowing him to take office immediately.
Masinga succeeds Justice William Ouko, who was elevated to the Supreme Court on May 13, following a rigorous interview.
The judges of the court of appeal elect the court of appeal judge for a five-year term.
The Court of Appeal is made up of 30 judges whose vote is verified by the IEBC.
Justice Daniel Musangi was recently elected to chair the Judicial Committee on Elections(JCE).
He started his legal career in 1988, as an advocate of the high court.
