Police in Kabondo Kasipul are in pursuit of gangsters who allegedly raped a 22-year-old lady and stole her personal possessions.
The woman, a polytechnic student, was raped in the house she shares with her parents in Oriang’ village, Kabondo Kasipul constituency.
According to reports, four gangsters raided the homestead on Tuesday at 10 p.m. and raped the woman inside until Wednesday at 1 a.m., when they fled.
As reported by the victim’s mother, the criminals broke into the house and discovered her daughter watching TV with her grandchildren.
“They ransacked her house and took two of her cellphones.”
“They then led her to a room and raped her repeatedly,” the mother explained.
According to the mother, the gangsters later came for them and demanded all of the money in the house.
The criminals then quickly locked the mother and her grandchildren inside a wardrobe, threatening them with a gun if they made any noise.
“They took electronic items of about Sh500,000 and Sh100,00 cash money before they left,” she added.
As they were leaving, they abducted the woman’s husband using his car and drove and dumped him beside a thicket in the Rangwe constituency.
