Kajiado County To Investigate Goons Who ‘Blocked’ Ole Lenku Impeachment Motion

The Kajiado County Assembly has launched investigations into an invasion by public members who gained access to the legislative arm of the County Government.

The group, armed with crude weapons, threatened petitioner Tipape Naini, who was presenting a petition for impeachment of Governor Joseph ole Lenku.

The assembly, through speaker Justus Ngussur, indicated that some of the invaders could be County Executives who were determined to attack the petitioner while conducting his personal rights as a lawful Kenyan.

Over 30 individuals engaged the Assembly’s security team in running battles within the premises, bringing the Assembly to a standstill.

The speaker stated that the intruders took the law into their own hands and threatened the lives of County Assembly officials and workers, as well as the general peaceful environment.

The assembly has vowed to ensure that the perpetrators face the full force of the law to prevent such incidents from happening again.
