Is Kalonzo Musyoka pushing to be Chief Minister in a post election deal?
This is what is emerging after IEBC cleared the Wiper supremo to present his papers on 4th June 2022.
During the unveiling of his running mate, Azimio leader Raila Odinga preserved the seat of Chief Minister to Kalonzo
Kalonzo has not ruled our the possibility of working with Raila or Ruto after the poll.
In Kenya, politics is about party and personal interest. And Kalonzo will hold his guns and support any winning team…
The reasoning to this political school is straight forward. Kalonzo will NOT win the Presidency.
His chances of winning are as high as those of Njeru Kathangu of Ford Asili.
He’s not a running mate to either of the likely winners. He is among OTHER contestants buoyed by the spirit of cutting a political deal
He is not politically, ideologically or remotely attached to Raila and Ruto.
Kalonzo will politically struggle any of these. The feeling is mutual. But they need the bad political breath to acquire the credentials to share Kenya’s GDP.
And so Kalonzo will push his presidential cart to the furthest end. At least until he secures his political future.
