KAM To Foster Collaboration With TVET To Bridge The Gap Between Education And Employment

In an effort to bridge the gap between education and employment, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), attended a Private Sector Engagement Meeting hosted by Principal Secretary State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Dr Esther Muoria.

Exploring new approaches to improve TVET graduates’ employability was a major area of attention. The topics of conversation centred on matching the curriculum to the objectives of business, offering useful programmes for skill development, and comprehending the requirements of the contemporary labour market.

The purpose of the gathering was to open up employment options in the private sector for TVET graduates. In order to make sure that the skills learned through TVET programmes actually convert into useful occupations, this involved investigating internship programmes, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.

By encouraging collaboration and developing talent, KAM is dedicated to creating a better future for TVET graduates by equipping them with the abilities and information necessary to succeed in their chosen professions.
