Shocking information about the nine-year-old boy’s murder, whose body was found in a septic tank at a Wamala Zone residence.

Imran Bukenya, age 9, went missing on July 9; his body was found in a septic tank at a house under construction, a short distance from his home in Wamala Zone, Nabweru Sub-county, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, a month after his disappearance.

The owner of the house, who is the prime suspect in the murder, had been aware of the body in his septic tank, according to investigations.

Mr Patrick Onyango, a spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, stated yesterday that a worker on the property had earlier informed the suspect that there was a body in the septic tank.

The suspect, however, did not notify the authorities and instead attempted to hire someone to retrieve the body from the septic tank.

“The man demanded Shs100 million for the job, but the suspect did not have the money, so the body remained in the septic tank until it was discovered by the engineer who was working on the septic tank,” he explained.

He also stated that the suspect and engineer are still being held at Nansana Police Station.
