Karanja Ndegwa Named Jambo Jet CEO

Following approval by the airline’s board on Thursday, Karanja Ndegwa has taken over as CEO of Jambojet with immediate effect.

“Since taking over as acting Managing Director, Mr. Ndegwa has successfully steered the business, ensuring stability, continuity and growth amid the Covid-19 pandemic which has significantly affected the Aviation Industry.”

“Through his leadership, we are confident that he is best suited to take the airline to the next level in terms of growth and sustainability,” said Vincent Rague, Jambojet Chairman.

Following the appointment of former CEO Allan Kilavuka, who transferred to lead Kenya Airways, Ndegwa has been acting Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Jambojet since April 2020.

Karanja Ndegwa is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Nairobi’s Department of Economics and Statistics.

He has over 20 years of leadership expertise in financial planning and reporting, airline business/commercial strategy, capacity building, strategic management, and revenue management.
