Karua: No Rebels In Jubilee, Just Ruto Invading Peoples’ Homes

NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has issued a warning to President Willam Ruto over his alleged meddling in the affairs of the Azimio la Umoja coalition and its affiliate parties.

Speaking at a Jubilee National Delegates Conference (NDC) on Monday, Karua accused President Ruto of attempting to forcibly take over the Jubilee party and gain majority representation in government in order to overturn the constitution in his favour.

The outspoken politician went on to say that an attack on Jubilee is an attack on the Azimio coalition, and they will not allow anyone into their camp.

“You touch any one of us you touch all of us. Touching Jubilee is bombing the foundation of a house called Azimio la Umoja. We shall not let anyone play around with constituent parties of Azimio,” she said.

“Nataka ijulikane ulimwengu kote sio waasi ndani ya Jubilee wanataka kubomoa Jubilee ni William Ruto anataka Jubilee,” she claimed.

“What he is trying to do is to get the super majority so that he can flip the constitution without the knowledge of the Kenyan citizens.”

Karua also warned President Ruto against interfering in Azimio la Umoja politics, urging him to act within the bounds of the rule of law.

“Now someone says that he has a Ph.D. yet he cannot recognise the laws of Kenya. That is the great shame of this nation,” she said.

“We do not want your help William Ruto all we need is respect for the rule of law. Leave political parties alone.”

The NARC party boss dared President Ruto to continue dipping his fingers into Azimio’s political waters, warning that the bipartisan talks would be called off.

“This is a great assault on democracy. We know you have not fought for democracy. Some of us have fought for democracy throughout our lives,” she said.

“Watch out, you continue to assault the house of Azimio and its constituent parties, there will be no talks. That will be the result. If you really want to sit down show respect to Azimio and its parties.”

“Take that as a warning shot, Kenyans are tired.”
