Police have arrested Eighteen KCSE examination candidates who escaped an exam center in Homa Bay County to go out for a party in a Rachuonyo North village.
The students, 16 boys and two girls from Kobala Mixed Secondary in Wang’ Chieng’ Location allegedly sneaked out of the school by crossing over the school fence using a wooden ladder on Saturday night.
According to Chief Peter Agunga, the neighbors informed the administrator of the whereabouts of the group, who were concerned about the lives of the students.
“I was called by a resident who told me that a group of students had locked themselves in a house. I rushed there and arrested them,” the chief said.
Upon confirmation with the school administration, the students are now taking their examinations under police surveillance.
