Some 36 youth were yesterday arrested as they sought to join the military training at the Recruit Training School, Eldoret on claims they had forged calling letters.
The victims told military personnel receiving the more than 3,000 recruits they had gone through all the procedures to arrive there and did not understand how they got fake letters.

The head of Defence Headquarters Chief of Personnel Brigadier Elijah Gatere oversaw the reception of the first batch of recruits set to commence training at the school when the documents were detected.
They were apprehended by military police and handed over to the National Police Service for interrogation and further action.
