KDF Unveils Military TV, Radio Outlets

Kenya Defence Forces has launched its very own radio and television stations.

General Robert Kibochi, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), officially opened the Strategic Communications Office at the Defence Headquarters in Nairobi.

The new office building has fully-equipped television and radio facilities for a variety of projects.

The KDF Communication department, formerly known as Public Affairs, was founded in 2009 and has since conveyed KDF stories in both operations and peacetime.

In 2021, the KDF command formed Strategic Communication in order to meet communication goals in an ever-changing threat environment.

The CDF praised the Strategic Communications team office’s efforts in informing and shaping public opinion on Kenya Defence Forces’ activities and engagements.

He added that information is a powerful tool, and the KDF is committed to ensuring effective communication of all KDF operations.
