KeNHA To Close Ugunja – Ukwala Road On Tuesday

    The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced that Ugunja – Ukwala road will be closed at the old Nzoia River Bridge to pave way for emergency bridge repair works.

    KeNHA, in a statement released on Wednesday, said that the temporary closure will take effect from Tuesday, November 8 to Tuesday, November 22.

    “KeNHA in pursuant to the Traffic Act wishes to notify the general public that emergency bridge repair works are being undertaken at the old Nzoia River bridge along Ugunja – Ukwala (B136) road. These works will necessitate the closure of the road from Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 8.00 am to Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 8.00 am,” KeNHA Director General Kungu Ndungu said.

    “Motorists heading towards Ukwala and those heading to Ugunja are advised to use the Ligega Road or use any other alternative routes whenever possible. We apologize for any inconveniences that may be caused as we endeavour to provide an efficient, safe and reliable road network,” KeNHA added.
