Kenya closing on 30,000 mark of Covid -19 infections

Kenya has recorded new 515 Covid- 19 cases from a sample size of 6,353 in the last 24hours, 496 being Kenyans while 19 are foreigners.

Cumulatively the country has tested 387,670 samples.

Nairobi still leads the chart with 251 new infections and was followed by Kitui with 41, Kiambu 33 and Kericho 23

 The age range from the youngest being an 8 month old infant while oldest is 96-year.

The total number of those who have tested positive stands at 29,849.

However, 672 patients recovered from the disease. Total recoveries now stand at15,970, CAS Mercy Mwangangi reported that of the recoveries607 were on home based care program and 65discharged from various hospitals.

While addressing the 158th Covid-19 press CAS said Kenya had employed mechanisms that that are endorsed by world health organization in the fight while, clarifying the use of thermos gun, she said it may not pick out a covid 19 patient but high fever if detected is one symptom of the disease.
