Kenya Kwanza Accuses RC Maalim Of Planning Chaos

Deputy President William Ruto has accused Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Maalim Mohamed of orchestrating election-day chaos.

The DP told the press on Thursday that Maalim was meeting with people at night to plan the violence.

He claimed that Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, and Nakuru County commissioners are assisting the Rift Valley RC.

“The Regional Commissioner of Rift Valley, Maalim Mohamed, the County commissioners Samson Ojwang of Trans Nzoia and Stephen Kihara of Uasin Gishu and Erastus Mbui of Nakuru are part of this scheme. They are the people holding night meetings to plan conflict amongst Kenyans,” Ruto said.

“We are aware of night meetings being held to orchestrate disharmony.”

The Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate went on to accuse President Uhuru Kenyatta of holding a meeting in Nakuru during his recent visit, the outcome of which he believes will be detrimental to Kenya.

Ruto also stated that the President is aware of the commissioners’ late-night meetings.

“Unfortunately, the President of Kenya is aware. We are asking his Excellency the President in his constitutional duty as the President of Kenya to ensure the country is safe and to stop these people from planning the evil they are planning.

“The President knows them very well and must stop them from causing conflict,” he said.

The DP linked the meetings to the recently discovered leaflets with threats in parts of Uasin Gishu county.

He insisted that the leaflets were a result of the meetings.
