A middle aged man was arraigned in court on May 16,2022 where he was charged with causing a grievous bodily harm to a police officer.
According to the charge sheet, Kelvin Baraza grievously assaulted PC Felix Leboo on May 10,2022 at Mara Road Junction in Nairobi.
The said Police officer was in line of duty controlling road traffic when misunderstanding between him and the accused person occurred.
Efforts by the Police officer to restrain Mr. Baraza proved futile after the said Baraza overpowered the officer causing him grievous bodily harm.
Appearing before Magistrate Micheni Wendy of Milimani Law courts, the accused person denied particulars of the case and was released on a bond of Ksh 200,000.
