Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate, named Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua as his running mate on Monday.
During the announcement, the former Prime Minister also detailed his cabinet if he is elected Kenya’s fifth president.

Martha Karua has been named as Raila’s Deputy President and Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

Former National Assembly Speaker Kenneth Marende will be Senate Speaker, and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya will be National Treasury Chief Secretary.
Peter Munya will retain his current slot as Agriculture CS but will have an additional role as Chairperson of the Kenya Productive Sector candidate.
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho will be the Lands Cabinet Secretary and among his responsibilities will be to fight historical land injustices at the Coast and across the country.
Notably present were Cabinet Secretaries Fred Matiang’i and ICT CS Joe Mucheru, who have been heavily criticized for politicking while holding critical positions in government.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was missing from the KICC declaration, is the Azimio Council chairperson.
