Security has been beefed up at various centres where recruitment of Kenya Prisons Service is ongoing across the country.
Officials say those seeking must be Kenyan citizens, have a valid Identification card, have no criminal record, have a KCSE minimum grade of D+ and above or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and be between the ages of 18 and 28 years for secondary school leavers.
Officials say they expect huge turnout hence the security at various constituency headquarters.
The exercise will commence at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in several locations across the country. The exercise will take place at around 340 locations.
The agency will recruit for 33 different categories of general cadets, including medical officers, general surgeons, pathologists, psychiatrists, radiologists, pharmacists, and public health officers, to name a few.
Clinical officers, occupational therapists, mortuary attendants, public health officers, ICT officers, and dental radiographers, among others, are among the 23 roles available in the medical technicians department.
