Authorities in Nairobi are planning to auction two aircraft belonging to the Somali Air Force.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has announced that it will sell the junk planes in order to dispose of them in the country’s backyard.
The auction date has been set for November 17th in Nairobi by the administration.
According to KCAA, the aircraft with registration numbers 3C-ZZA and 8204 both of AN24 have been lying at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport [JKIA] for years.

The country has yet to develop a significant air force, and aerial surveillance is mostly provided by AMISOM and Africa Command.
KCAA said the aircraft will clear the congestion in the international airport, as efforts to improve the quality of the transit hub gather pace.
Kenyans can secure an aircraft from Ksh. 5,000 and above
