Catholic fraternity in Kenya has condemned Garissa Town MP Aden Duale for comments made during a live TV interview.
Appearing at citizen TV’s JKLive, Duale suggested that Raila Odinga’s ODM Party was likened to a “cult” like Catholic Church.
“ODM party is a cult..Nobody can speak. Its like the Catholic Church. but Jubilee is a very democratic party.” he said.
The comments have attracted rebuke with a section of netizens condemning the legislator for disrespect.
“Aden Duale has just called ODM Party a cult and equaled it to catholic church with a Pope, But he can’t give an example using his Muslim religion but Ill talking about Christianity as a cult” remarked a Twitter user.
