BY PRUDENCE WANZA – Jubilee aspirant for the Kibra Parliament seat has been trolled by Kenyans on social media after Denis Itumbi posted a poster on twitter inviting the candidate’s supporters to take him for shopping where he would unveil his infrastructure and trade manifesto afterwards.

The poster indicates that Mariga will be shopping at Othaya market which led to social media users wondering whether there is Othaya market in Kibra and why Mariga would be going shopping in a market located in Nyeri County.

A Kenyan tweeted, “Education is critical as it helps one in perceiving things critically. Now see Mariga is being taken for campaigns in Othaya but seeking an elective post in Kibra.Ndingehota”

Another Kenyan asked,” Infrastructure and Trade? ..Is he vying for the presidency?

Kenyans went on to react on the post saying that Mariga has no manifesto because in the first place there is no Othaya market in Kibra since the shopping and unveiling of the manifesto should be meant for the betterment of the people of Kibra.

Others reacted saying Mariga was misled and financed into contesting for the Kibra parliamentary seat since he is not even able to communicate his manifesto during the campaigns.

The Kibra Parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth who succumbed to cancer this year, August.

Mariga  is set to battle it out with Imran Okoth of the Orange Democratic Party Eliud  Owalo of Amani National Coalition and Khamisi Butichi of Ford Kenya

The by-election will be held on November 7, 2019.
