BY FAITH MUTETE – A sigh of relief for school children’s families as the students who spent their night at Tsavo East national park on Thursday night have been rescued.
The children were on a school trip to the park, famed for its lions and other big five animals, when heavy rains pounded the Tsavo making it impossible for them to drive out of the park.
According to Red Cross Society, the children were rescued through the partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service, who provided vehicles that could navigate through the muddy terrain.
