KeRRA Lays Plan For Ksh. 20M Garsen Bridge

Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has finally begun plans to build a Sh20 million reinforced concrete slab single-lane bridge in Golbanti, Garsen constituency.

The Ngao footbridge is currently being used by residents, and it is only open to walkers, motorcycle riders, and cattle.

Following that, the government listened to people’ requests for the bridge to be built at Golbanti so that it could serve more settlements in the area, including Kipao village.

The bridge design, which was completed in-house by KeRRA engineers, is now complete, and the geotechnical investigation report is pending.

He did, however, add that the material team had since reported on the preferred bridge site, and drilling had begun on Sunday.

The depth to which the pile foundations will be drilled and inserted will be guided by the geotechnical investigations report.
