Kiambaa Byelections — Moses Kuria Surrenders To Support UDA Candidate

As drama continues to unfold in Mount Kenya, fast rising People’s Empowerment Party has moved to opt out of the Kiambaa Byelections. – By Gerald Gekara.

In a lengthy post outlining his position, Moses Kuria, the party leader said the move was in the best interest of the party stakeholders.

“PEP will NOT be fielding a candidate for the Kiambaa by election. Where I come from they say, Utatiga Ndakora. I take this opportunity to offer my profuse apologies to Hon Raymond Kuria, the people of Kiambaa and all PEP members who undoubtedly will be disappointed with this decision.” said Moses Kuria.

Gachagua recently spat with Kuria about how the Deputy President William Ruto-led Hustler Movement alliance will handle the Kiambaa by-elections after the UDA fielded John Njuguna as their candidate and the PEP fielded Raymond Kuria.

Kuria stated on his social media accounts that the party decision was reached after thorough discussions with Ruto.

The Gatundu South legislator is coming from a triumphant win in Juja where his candidate performed overwhelmingly against Jubilee party and UDA.
