Francis Kiambi Matanka, a well-known businessman and politician from Tharaka-Nithi County, has passed away.
On Monday morning, the dead body of the director of Patiala Distillers Limited was discovered in his Nairobi Karen home on Ndege Road, lying on the bed.
The late family attorney Brian Muriithi confirmed Matanka’s demise.
According to a police report , the deceased wife Mary Waingwe Muthoni filed a death complaint at the Karen Police Station.
Mr. Matanka, who contested for the Tharaka-Nithi County senatorial seat in 2017 on the Maendeleo Chap Chap party banner, was defeated by Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki.
