Matiang’i To Launch Kibaki’s Condolence Book

The official public viewing of late President Mwai Kibaki’s body on Tuesday begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. at Parliament Buildings.

The same will continue tomorrow Wednesday.

Members of the Diplomatic Corps and other dignitaries who wish to pay a visit to the Kibaki family may do so at the Kibaki’s Official Office in Nyari, off Redhill Road in Nairobi, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 27.

The body was Tuesday conveyed at Parliament Buildings with the casket being draped in the National Flag.

Kibaki will be accorded full military honors and protocols, including the conveyance of the former Head of State’s body in a Gun Carriage, accompanied by Military Musical Honors and a 19-gun salute.

The official signing of the Third President’s condolence book will be launched this morning at Harambee House by InteriorCabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

The condolence books will simultaneously be availed at Kibaki’s Office, Parliament Buildings, Supreme Court of Kenya, all ministries offices, Council of Governors headquarters, all Regional and County Commissioners Offices across the country, and in Kenyan High Commissions, Embassies, and Missions abroad.
