Kibra police have detained four ladies for allegedly bribing votes.
The first three were arrested at the Toi primary polling site after being approached by local leaders while attempting to sway the ongoing voting process.
The fourth was apprehended at Kenyatta Market Station for the same offense.
Upon interrogation by the authorities, the suspects claimed they were agents allied to t UDA candidate in the Kibra parliamentary contest MacDonald Mariga.
Kibra deputy county commissioner Gideon Ombogi confirmed the arrests, stating that the three are being held at the Kibra police station.
The administrator stated that they have initiated a new investigation to determine who is responsible for the vice.
Local authorities observing the election in Kibra have expressed alarm over potential voter bribery, urging police to increase their vigilance.
