Kilifi Man Beaten To Death For Stealing Cassavas

A man was lynched by a mob on Monday morning in Patanani village in Shimba Hills, Kilifi County, for allegedly stealing cassavas from a farm.

Mwero Muzi, 45, was attacked after being seen uprooting cassavas on his neighbor’s farm.

According to a police report, members of the public apprehended him and killed him on the spot.

Kassim Koi, the area head of Tiribe, claimed he was informed about the occurrence by members of the public. 

He warned the citizens not to take the law into their own hands.

The deceased’s body was brought to the Kinango Sub-county Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.
