Kindiki Restricts Access To Nyayo House Passport Office

Access to the Department of Immigration Services Headquarters in Nyayo House will be limited to workers and service-seekers who have the necessary documents.

The general public is officially notified that security around the premises has been increased, and no one will be allowed to loiter without a valid reason.

CS Kithure Kindiki was speaking during a surprise visit to the CBD office.

DCI detectives are closing in on more members of the bribe solicitation and extortion racket that has been frustrating service-seekers.

The CS further stated that the backlog of 44,000 applications for passports will be cleared within the next two weeks as the government works on a permanent solution to the long delays that have been witnessed in the recent past.

The Department will receive up to KES 1.3 billion in the FY 2023/24 to procure new equipment, including state-of-the-art printers.
