Kipyegon, Mary Moraa Get Ksh 2 Million After Budapest Triumph

Faith Kipyegon and Mary Moraa each received Sh2 million today after winning gold in their respective disciplines at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The ceremony was place in the Talanta Hela Plaza in Upperhill, Nairobi.

The event was attended by President William Ruto and Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts, Ababu Namwamba.

Moraa won the 800m gold medal, defeating favourites Athing Mu and Keely HoHodgkinson.

Kipyegon won gold in both the 1,500m and 5,000m races, capping off a five-star performance in Budapest.
