Azimio has pushed back the planned rally at Gusii Stadium from Monday, February 13, 2023 to Friday, February 17.
Kisii County ODM party chairperson Kerosi Ondieki stated that the rally was moved from Monday to Friday after extensive consultations.
“We have held consultations, and we want to give everyone a chance to attend the meeting. Kisii is home to the ODM party, and we want to hear everyone’s thoughts,” said Ondieki.
Raila told Kisumu residents on Saturday that he would continue with people’s baraza to educate Kenyans about their democratic rights.
However, some Gusii leaders have expressed concern that the Azimio rallies will divide the country.
Former Governor James Ongwae told the press in Kisii on Sunday that he will support any commitment by the national government to complete development projects.
