The County of Kisumu is expected to stage the 10th edition of the Lake Region Economic Bloc Summit.
Fourteen governors from the lake region economic bloc will be converging at Kisumu City for the summit.
The economic bloc is expected to focus on anchoring sustainable shared resources.
Kisumu Governor Professor Peter Anyan’g Nyon’go has confirmed readiness to host his colleagues for the big event.
The governors expected to attend the event include; Homabay county governor Gladys Wanga, Migori Governor Ochilo Ayako, Siaya Governor James Orengo, Kisii governor Simba Arati, his Nyamira counterpart Amos Nyaribo, and governor Nyon’go himself.
Others are Vihiga governor Wilberforce Ottichilo, Kakamega governor Fernandes Barasa, Busia Governor Paul Otuoma, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Kericho governor Dr Erick Mutahi, his Nandi counterpart Sang, and Bomet governor Hiary Barchok.
The Summit is scheduled to begin from Tuesday, October 25 upto Thursday, October 27.
