Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General Collins Oyuu was involved in a road accident in Kisumu County near Kombewa on the Bondo-Kisumu route on Monday morning.
Confirming the accident, Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement Officer RTEO Allan Mwangi, said Oyuu’s car overturned while avoiding a cyclist as he rushed to catch a flight at Kisumu International Airport.
Further, he said that Oyuu and his driver managed to escape unhurt, but the cyclist was injured.
“We are investigating the accident where a cyclist was injured. The other victim escaped unhurt,” he said.
