KQ Launches Direct Juba, Khartoum Flights

Kenya Airways (KQ) has begun direct flights from Juba, the capital of South Sudan, to Khartoum, Sudan, as part of its African expansion strategy.

The new flight will depart from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) every Wednesday and Sunday, going to Khartoum via Juba and returning to Nairobi.

On Fridays, the airline will add a new daily from Nairobi to Juba via Khartoum and back to Nairobi.

KQ has not stated how much passengers will be charged on the trip, which is also served by Somalia-based Jubba Airways.

On Wednesdays and Sundays, flights to Juba depart Nairobi at 7.40 a.m., arriving in the South Sudanese capital at 9.25 a.m., and depart at 10.05 a.m., arriving in Khartoum at 11.25 a.m. The return flight departs Khartoum at 12.05 p.m. for Nairobi, arriving at JKIA at 16.10 p.m.
