According to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the ongoing tax amnesty campaign has so far received Ksh.3.4 billion.
Caroline Rotich, KRA’s Chief Manager Domestic Taxes Department, reports that over 17,000 taxpayers have registered for tax amnesty and are anticipated to remit Ksh.10.5 billion.
The IRS has identified 2.8 million taxpayers with fines and interest who are eligible for the tax amnesty scheme, which began on September 1, 2023.
I’m KRA expects to collect more than Ksh.51 billion in debts incurred during the time.
