The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has officially announced that all its procurement processes for the 2025/2026 financial year will be conducted exclusively through the Electronic Government Procurement System (e-GP), in a move aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accessibility.
In a public notice issued on Monday, KURA invited all suppliers, contractors, consultants, and service providers to register on the e-GP portal, https://egpkenya.go.ke, and participate in tendering processes strictly via the digital platform.
“As a leading government agency under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, mandated with the management, development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the national urban road network, KURA is committed to modernizing procurement operations in line with national digital transformation goals,” the statement read.
The Authority emphasized that procurement for all goods, works, and services in the 2025/26 financial year will be conducted end-to-end on the e-GP platform, meaning no manual bids will be accepted.
Suppliers and service providers are encouraged to regularly visit the e-GP portal to stay informed about new procurement opportunities and bid accordingly.
“This transition marks a strategic shift towards smarter, more transparent procurement. It empowers bidders to engage in a fair, efficient, and accountable process,” the notice added.
The move aligns with the government’s broader push for digital transformation across public institutions and reinforces KURA’s commitment to upholding international procurement standards. The Authority is ISO 9001:2015 certified and continues to prioritize integrity and efficiency in service delivery.
