A wall bordering the Waiyaki way – Red hill road has collapsed, blocking the busy road.
Kenya Urban Roads Authority said the collapse was caused by a burst pipe at the Kabete Army barracks.
“We wish to notify members of the Public that a wall along the Waiyaki way – Red Hill Link Road has collapsed due to water coming from a burst pipe on the Kabete Barracks side. The water undermined the wall cladding leading to the collapse. ” KURA said.
KURA confirmed that works to restore the road and clear the debris have begun.
“Our contractor is on-site clearing the debris on the main carriageway and immediately start repairing the affected section. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”.
