A leopard attacked and injured two people while on the run in the Sigor area of Bomet’s Chepalungu sub-county, Bomet county.
It was however killed hours later by combined efforts by police and Kenya Wildlife Service.
The angry wild cat pounced on the victims after they threw stones at it to scare it from sprinting into a herd of goats.
Felix Kirui, 28 was rushed to Longisa county referral hospital having with injuries after he tried to protect his goats.
Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) who managed to trace and kill it.
Chepalungu sub-county police boss Nelson Masai said his officers with the help of KWS will continue to monitor stray animals crossing over from from the Masai Mara.
