A middle-aged woman is being treated at the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital after being shot and wounded by suspected armed bandits in Laikipia County.
Agnes Wangechi narrowly avoided death after gun-toting bandits opened fire on her in Mbogoine, Ng’arua in Laikipia West before fleeing to the nearby Laikipia Nature Conservancy.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspects entered Mbogoine Village on Friday, September 3, 2022.
“The bullet landed on her right shoulder as a result of the attack by the suspected bandits who have been terrorizing residents,” the woman’s husband, Wilson Wambugu, explained.
