Letters to the future –album by west Pangani

West Pangani is an upcoming hip-hop Kenyan trio based in Baltimore they have dropped their sophomore album  according to the group namely Danny ,Allan Mandwic the album has a message talking about how they are hoping their future will be.

“The sky in the album art is a picture taken back in 2018 when coming to Kenya. The album tells of how we want the best for the future so we are writing music to tell ourselves that our resiliencies what put us her, having the heart to do this particular genre despite stones being thrown at us were addressing how our future will be in terms of relationships financial status in our 30s and 40s and when we sit down we want to listen to the songs we produced and feel proud of what we did.

Mandwic in an interview revealed that he opted to do music due to the loss of his father

“In 2018, I lost my father and sought an avenue to vent my feelings and I automatically turned to music that is when they later joined and formed West Pangani.

They also added that they co-produced every song in the album a process that took 8 months

“With the help of our sound engineers Motif Di Don and Diesel J we made it work .some tracks were mixed and mastered in German, some by us others by Motif

Each copy of the album retails at 1000 and we have sold 39 copies out of the 1000 target we intend to distribute them in the streets for its success .it’s a journey we signed up for and we are more than ready to work for it

Mbithi is also featured in the album in a song called ‘broken ties’ they both have an amazing relation  they worked out their magic through the phone sending audios back to back over the phone until they got the right one.
