Jubilee party members accompanying the Deputy President William Ruto, lashed out at the former prime minister for what they termed as ‘acting like a president’

“Your excellency, these handshake people are abusing us. We are starting to get a very interesting scenario. How can the opposition leader purport to give instructions to government officials to carry out orders. Is that even possible? questioned Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua.

The leaders questioned the former prime minister for overstepping his mandate and issuing executive orders which is against the constitution.

The Deputy President, however, shunned the Raila talk and instead went on with steering development agenda that the Jubilee Government had set aside.

Nine Days after a car plunged into the Indian Ocean, African Union special envoy on Infrastructure, Raila Odinga issued an order to dredging companies to halt their operations until the Toyota Isis car containing the bodies of a mother and her daughter was recovered.

His orders arose questions as to whether he had the mandate to issue executive orders.
