Machakos County Commander Muiruri Karanja yesterday declared total war on corruption.
Karanja told Machakos residents to call him personally wherever the police demand bribes saying the era of the graft is long gone.
He thanked Machakos residents for maintaining security and urged them to report security threats to his office.
He was speaking at Mua Hills during development tour of the area.
He said next Tuesday is the national day for fighting graft and said residents of Machakos should take the lead in the fight against graft.
This comes at a time when the National Government is doing all that is possible to eliminate corruption and bribery in all Government sectors.
Several people have been charged with corruption in court though no conviction has been done so far.
