A Masii Police Station officer was arrested for breaking into the Officer Commanding Station’s (OCS) office and stealing Sh71, 000 from the cash bail book.
According to a police report, the officer, identified as Paul Chege, committed the offense while on duty at the Report Office on Friday around 7 a.m.
“He broke the OCS table drawers and gained access to a cash bail book containing sh 71,000, and he stole the cash,” according police report.
He will be held in custody until Monday, when he will appear before Machakos Chief Magistrate.
