Makueni First Lady Anita Mutula on Tuesday launched a vaccination campaign targetting over 465,000 children aged between 9 to 59 months.
The vaccines will cover Measles-Rubella and Typhoid Conjugate and will be undertaken at mobile vaccine sites, schools, homes, religious centres and health facilities.
Launching the campaign at Unoa Grounds in Wote, she said the County will provide the resources, support and leadership necessary to make it successful.
She called upon parents, caregivers and community leaders to support the campaign.
The event was attended by the Chief Officer Health, Dr. Harvey Mulei Mbithi, Ag Director Preventive and Promotive Health Dr. Stephen Mwatha, MCAs Dr. Jackson Mbalu – Kikumbulyu North Ward who is the Chairperson, Health Committee, nominated MCA Elizabeth Muthike & Denis Musyoka, Kako Waia Ward.
