Governor Kivutha Kibwana met with officials from the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) in Nairobi on Thursday to discuss ways to improve the county’s electricity distribution.
REREC’s Power Strategy General Manager According to David Kitonga, the group has contracts for 213 kilometers of electricity expansion to reach remaining public schools, public institutions, and houses in Makueni, among other things.
Makueni will also exchange data on schools that aren’t connected to the electrical grid with REREC so that they can be connected as quickly as possible.
