A man was today arraigned in a Kibera law court and was accused of receiving money by false pretense. Peter Maina Mwangi was said to have on February 13th fleeced one Esther Ndunge Muthama Sh150, 000.
Mr. Maina had promised Ms. Ndunge that he would book a chance for her child at Michuki Training Institute.
The prosecution pleaded to court for stiff bond terms, citing that the accused had taken to heels during the time of arrest.
Magistrate Gitagwa released the accused on Sh300, 000 bond. He will appear in court for pretrial on March 16th in preparations for his case to be heard on May 21st, 2020.
