Residents of Kware Village in Nkaimurunya Ward, Kajiado North, are still struggling to come to terms with a strange incident involving a man who allegedly disguised himself as a schoolgirl before attempting to enter a young girl’s bedroom at night.

The man, identified by locals as Kevin Mong’are, reportedly arrived in the village wearing a complete school uniform and carrying a Bible alongside several exercise books. According to villagers, he approached a local shopkeeper claiming he had been stranded and needed somewhere safe to spend the night.

Touched by what appeared to be the situation of a helpless student, the shopkeeper agreed to host him at his family home without suspecting anything unusual.

However, the situation reportedly took a disturbing turn later in the night after members of the household noticed suspicious movements inside the house. Sources within the village claimed the visitor attempted to make his way into the room where the shopkeeper’s daughter was sleeping.

The unusual behavior immediately raised alarm among family members, leading to confrontation and the eventual discovery that the supposed schoolgirl was actually an adult man in disguise.

News of the incident spread rapidly across the village and later on social media, where many Kenyans expressed concern over the lengths some individuals are willing to go to gain access to homes.

Residents have since urged families to exercise caution when accommodating strangers, especially those whose identities cannot be immediately confirmed.

Local leaders in the area are also said to have raised concerns over increasing cases of deception targeting rural households. By Wednesday morning, residents were still discussing the bizarre episode, with many describing it as one of the most shocking incidents the village has witnessed in recent months.
