A middle aged man was arraigned at a Nairobi Court in Milimani and charged with assaulting a woman sexually.
The said incident happened along muranga road within Nairobi.
Ramadhan Johnson Ole is said to have assaulted a lady by intentionally and unlawfully touching her buttocks.
Appearing before hon Micheni Wendy SPM, the accused person pleaded not guilty and was released on a bond of Ksh 300,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 150,000.
The case will be mentioned on 28th March 2022 for pretrial.
This case comes barely a week after another group of 16 men were charged in the same Court for sexually harassing a diplomat lady along Professor Wangari Mathai road.
Analytically this should worry any human rights defender and particularly FIDA.
This is because the country is heading towards the general elections which are some 5 months away.
Historically, Kenya’s general elections breeds widespread violation of human rights and female gender has always been on the receiving end.
