Man arraigned in court for Stealing property worth 76 Million from Three companies

BY SHARON NYAWIRA – A man has been arraigned at Makadara Law courts for stealing property worth 7.6m from three companies.

He is accused that jointly with others not before court he allegedly broke into Drifield Kenya Limited located in Embakasi and stole 125mtrs armoured copper cable , 2 grinding machines,welding machine and a drilling machine all worth 346,000 shillings .

On the same night of 23rd May 2019 property was stolen from Rusinga Company Limited . 1 Mac computer , 2hp laptops, 48 inch curve Tv , 2 grinders and 1 welding machine worth 600k.

He is also accused of stealing one Mac laptop,a hp laptop ,42 inch flat screen, DVD recorder and one lenovo laptop,property of Moselli Industries Limited .

On 31st May, 2019 at Naivasha area within Nakuru county ,was then arrested for handling goods unlawfully obtained all valued at 7,661,602.94shillings.

The accused, Paul Atandi Ochanda denied charges before Senior Principal magistrate Heston Nyaga at the makadara law courts.

The magistrate ruled that he be released on a bond of 1m and a cash bail of similar amount .

The hearing will be on 17th July,2019
