BY PRUDENCE WANZA – A man has been charged with stealing kabras sugar worth Ksh.8.3M
Evans Mageto Orina alias John Oloishorua Lepore is accused of stealing 4,200 bales of Kabras brandy sugar valued at Ksh. 8,330,000 property of West Kenya Sugar limited from motorvehicles registration no.KCN843E and KCQ 159B respectively while the said goods were on transit from the company to tusker mattresses limited in Embakasi,Mombasa road.
The accused also faces charges of forging Jeff Hamilton(K) rubber stamp, Tusker mattresses limited rubber stamp and Omega risk management limited rubber stamps.
He denied the charges before senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi at the Milimani law courts.
He was released on a bond of Sh. 1M or an alternative cash bail of Sh. 500,000.
The case will be mentioned on 23rd September 2019.
